About Me
Hi, I’m Sloane! Born and raised in Houston, Texas, I grew up surrounded by art and design at home, and inspired by the diversity of the natural and constructed environments around me. I would describe my personal style as colorful, eclectic, and maximalist, but pride myself in my ability to adapt to clients’ preferences and spaces.
My degree in Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience from the University of Arizona equips me with the knowledge to leverage scientific principles to create spaces that not only reflect aesthetic preferences but also promote functionality. This unique perspective enables me to craft harmonious environments that resonate with clients on both a visual and emotional level.
My global travels and Semester at Sea have been a profound source of inspiration for my work. Experiencing diverse cultures and witnessing various design styles has enriched my creative palette. It has allowed me to incorporate elements from different parts of the world into my designs, fusing cultural influences from the 40+ countries I’ve visited.
Internships at design firms in Houston and London have given me valuable experience in dynamic professional environments.
At Parsons School of Design, I learned many technical skills that allow me to communicate concepts to clients and successfully create interior spaces. My proficiency in 2D and 3D modeling softwares ensure seamless transitions from ideas to execution.
My portfolio demonstrates my artistic and technical abilities while providing a window into my own interior style.
